Brain Functional Imaging Research at the NuMeCan Institute: Applications in Nutrition and Behavioral Neuroscience in Pigs and Man

Summary of the intervention:

Nutrec Institute's "Nutrition Gut Brain" team / unit aims to conduct integrated research on the responses and adaptations of the digestive system, the central nervous system and nutritional behaviors, in the perinatal period and at home. the adult, on animal models and in humans. A key expertise of this team is functional brain imaging. This seminar will review ten years of nutrition research that has used brain imaging to explore the impact of diet, gut-brain signals, and metabolic status on brain activity in the porcine model. . This seminar will also be an opportunity to discuss the work of the team in humans, their context and current clinical projects at the University Hospital of Rennes to explore the neurocognitive responses of healthy volunteers and obese patients in relation with pleasure and food choices.
