In a few words

After a PhD thesis in molecular modelling (LCBPT, Paris Descartes ; Biophysic Institute of Brno, CZ), Olivier Delalande press ahead with the study of biomolecular systems related to human health in the context of large national projects (iBiTecS/CEA-Saclay, IBPC/CNRS Paris and CBM/CNRS Orléans). Associate professor at the Pharmacy Faculty of Rennes since 2010, he does participate for several years to the development of interactive methods for the simulation of biomolecular systems associated with pathologies (myopathies, cancers). His main goals are dealing with the determination of three-dimensional structure of biomolecules, of structure-activity relationships and of molecular interactions in large biological assemblies. He is particularly interested in molecular process induced by genetic mutation and leading to human pathologies. His main biological research topic concentrates on the molecular interactions in muscular dystrophies (myopathies). He is notably studying how sarcolemma molecular organization is modified in the absence or in the truncation of dystrophin, an essential protein of muscular cells.
